NOTES: Color-Codes. Orange/Tan indicates overnight in Mérida; Fuchsia Lite indicates overnight in Pisté; Light Blue indicates Playa del Carmen. "Weekends" are not often held on Sundays and Saturdays but are free and independent days; weekend breakfast and lunches are covered with group on site. Non-program (personal) transportation is paid for by participant. 26 nights in Mérida, 6 nights in Playa del Carmen, 10 nights in Pisté. Evening meals are covered out of pocket by the participant. Lodging on-site at research locations are provided during week and weekend, except during the four day program break.
Seminars = any formal seminar, class, or forum activity; study = any independent reading, writing, labwork, or data processing; fieldwork = any type of research activity, whether group or independent, whether focused on special/scheduled or researcher-initiated event.
Program travel includes: Mérida to Playa, Playa to Pisté, Pisté to Mérida, and Mérida to Pisté. Activities during days marked by "finalize projects" are on-site conducting lab work, data analysis, writing, and discussions with MIRA members.
Departure travel from Pisté to airport at the closing of MIRA is at student cost. Pickup at Mérida Airport is available with advance arrangement.
