Winter Quarter and Summer Field School Programs

The application forms (see navigation bar on the left and links below) in this section are designed to be submitted online. See the Spring Writer’s Workshop Page for the Spring Program’s Application. Each form needs to be completed in one sitting (in other words, they cannot be saved for future reference). We encourage you to submit your application online and suggest you review the application and forms in advance and type your responses into a word processing document, so that you may cut and paste text into the form fields.

About the Essay Questions
We are interested to know about your unique individual skills, experiences, interests, and strengths. The narrative and short answer responses help us to better understand who you are and how you will fit into the program. It makes little difference whether you have extensive or no experience traveling abroad, or whether you have skills that derive from non-academic employment or not. OSEA welcomes a diversity of applicants and accepts students with a WIDE range of life experiences, skills and motivations. The information you provide us is to facilitate the preparation of the OSEA program in which you will participate. We benefit from knowing about your unique attributes in order to create a more vibrant and relevant program. Please address the questions to the extent that you wish in this spirit.

Browser Compatibility Please note that our Application and Spanish Proficiency forms are compatible with Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and Netscape’s Navigator browsers. They are not compatible with Apple’s Safari Browser.
