WORKSHOP DAILY SCHEDULE, DETAILED BY TIME OF ACTIVITIES

Day 1. Arrival Jun 1. Wednesday	1-3pm, Arrival in Cancun Airport. Ground Transportation to Pisté/Chichén 6-7pm Arrival in Pisté & Settle into Accommodations at Posada Olalde 7:30-9pm, Opening Reception in Pisté (location and time to be determined) Review Workshop Schedule & Identify necessary changes / last minute modifications
Day 2. Workshop Jun 2. Thursday	8-9:00am breakfast 9:00am - 2:00pm session #1 2:00pm - 7:00 pm lunch, siesta time and organized brief tour of Chichén Itzá 7:00pm to [8:30 or 9pm] with coffee/snack, presentation of “Chichén Problem” — Recent Developments in 2005 about the ownership of heritage, privatization cultural property, artisan invasion, and related issues; by Quetzil Castañeda (see “Tourism Wars in Yucatán,” American Anthropology Newsletter, May 2005, pp. 8-9.) 8:30pm dinner and break for night
Day 3. Workshop Jun 3. Friday	8-9:00 am breakfast 9:00 am - 2:00 pm session #2 and #3 2-6 pm lunch & siesta free time 6-9 pm session #3 continued 9pm Dinner
Day 4. Workshop Jun 4. Saturday	8-9:00 am breakfast 9:00 am – 2:00 pm session #4 1pm-2pm, Break for Lunch and begin “Break” or Independent Time of Reflection Optional Evening Activities (group or independent): 1. Screening, Film “Incidents of Travel” with Himpele & Castañeda 2. Light and Sound Show at Chichén Itzá Option for Group or Independent Dinner 9pm
Day 5. Free day Jun 5. Sunday	Morning & Day Free 4-8pm Session Formal Dinner and Social Closure of Workshop Option: morning session. Late Afternoon Free to allow for Participants to begin independent travel to e.g., Mérida, Uxmal, etc.
Day 6. Departure Jun 6. Monday	Return Shuttle to Cancun Airport; Or, Independent Travel as determined by participant

Notes:

Ø All meals are included in the budget. Breakfast and Lunches are group; Dinners are independent.

Ø Breakfast will be served by Lourdes and Doña Monica Olalde in the Posada Olalde.

Ø Lunches will be served by Doña Goya Puc and sons Luis and Wilbert at the Restaurant Chichén Itzá.

Ø Tour Guide Service is provided by Victor Olalde for the group at Chichén Itzá and can be arranged for Ek Balam.
